Your Ultimate Caribbean Vacation Guide: Timing is Key!

If you are planning your Caribbean vacation, here is what you need to know!

Time of Year

Peak or non-peak travel dates affect pricing, so look at your calendar and decide when you can travel. This is important so you can get the best pricing during your travel dates. Plus, it is not easy to swap and make date changes after you have booked your vacation. Why pay for unnecessary change fees if you can make sure your original dates work for you.

Will this be an adult only or family friendly vacation? This is important so you know which resort is best for your vacation. If you plan to travel with your kids, make sure the dates work for their school and activities schedule also. The weather is important too. Will it be hot, rainy, or hurricane season?

Choosing Your Destination

Let’s make this one easy. What matters most when you are dreaming about your tropical vacation? Is it the pool with a swim up bar, tranquil blue water, swimming and playing in the ocean, all-inclusive, or lounging by the beach? Do you have any certain activities you want to experience?

Your Resort

Now that you have chosen your dates and Caribbean Island, which resort fits your travel style? Do you care more about the culinary options, the accommodations, the resort vibe, or the location of the resort? Some resorts have sister properties, and you can experience those during your stay. The possibilities are endless, so choose what fits you!

Planning in Advance

If you are a last-minute planner, I suggest allowing more time to book your vacation. This can help the pricing for your airfare and resort. I typically recommend at least six months in advance if your schedule allows it. Your Caribbean vacation is a magical experience waiting to happen, and by carefully considering the information above, you can make it even more extraordinary.
